My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Whobris is a young puppy who is 40% American Pit Bull Terrier 25% poodle (the rest super mutt) per the DNA test that was submitted on a sibling. We estimate that he will be around 30-40 lbs full grown and he is most likely not hypo allergenic. He loves to sit and stare at you with his big loving eyes and loves to be with people and other dogs. He is playful and loves to be outside playing in the rain or snow. He is looking for an active family who has the time and patience to teach him all the things that a young pup needs to know and include them in everything they do!

Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped and vaccinated. CAWS will cover all of the first year of puppy vaccines and their spay/neuter at 6 months of age. His adoption fee is $300. If you are interested in adopting a CAWS pet, please fill out an online application at http://caws.org/adoption-application. Additional adoption info

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

Go meet their pets

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. For additional information regarding how you, too, can become a foster, please see our fostering page located on our web site!

CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
