My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I'm Saltine!

As a puppy, I'm always ready to explore and learn new things. I'm a curious little one, always sniffing around and discovering the world around me. I'm smart too, I catch on to things quickly, like the fun games we can play together. Speaking of games, I'm super playful and energetic. I can't wait to run around and play fetch with you! After playtime, I love to cuddle up and enjoy some quiet time.
I'm gentle and mellow, a perfect balance to my playful side. I can be a little goofy and funny at times, which I've heard makes me quite lovable. I'm brave and independent, but also loyal and friendly. I'm the best of all worlds! I'm one of five puppies ready to find our forever homes. Why should you adopt me? Because I promise to bring joy, laughter, and endless love to your life. Let's make memories together!

If you are interested in meeting me, the shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday 11am – 5pm (Winter hours).
If you'd like to schedule an appointment, check out the pets' profile on our website at newberganimals.com to fill out an application and email to frontdesk@newberganimals.com.Due to COVID-19, we are currently only open by appointment. Please follow the instructions on each pet profile.

We are receiving multiple applications on every pet. If we do not call you to do an adoption, please do not consider it a rejection. We simply have a lot of applications coming in and very limited staff.
Adoption Applications do not place holds on pets, nor do we do pre-adoptions.
Rather than doing first-come-first-serve adoptions, Newberg Animal Shelter considers all applications and chooses the home that is the best fit for that particular pet. We want the adoptions to be happy and successful for the family and the pets.
Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, and at least their first set of vaccines, and microchip.
