My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Mila came to us after her previous owners moved to a place that didn’t allow multiple pets. Unfortunately, she was the one left behind. But Mila is ready to leave her past behind and find a forever home with someone who will cherish her for the rest of her days! In fact, Mila has a few special tricks up her paw to charm her future adopter:

#1: Lightning-fast zoomies! Mila can zoom circles around you so quickly, you'll get dizzy—and completely enchanted by her playful energy.
#2. Belly rub connoisseur! Mila loves belly rubs and isn’t shy about flopping over to ask for them. Her incredibly soft fur is just an added bonus!

While Mila can be a little shy when meeting new people, it doesn’t take long for her to warm up. Once she does, she’ll become your most loyal companion—your shadow and your devoted sidekick.

This adorable girl is as unique as they come! Is she a Chug? A corgi-pug mix? We don’t know, but her long, low-to-the-ground body and adorable little snout make her one of a kind. Mila is about 3 years old, balancing youthful energy with a love for lounging by your side on the couch. She gets along well with cats, children, and other dogs, but would likely thrive best in a calm, laid-back home.

Mila’s wise and quirky personality shines through—especially when she playfully “judges” the other dogs for not being able to keep up with her zoomies, even though her legs are the shortest! If you’re looking for a silly, sweet, and devoted companion, Mila might be your perfect match. Don’t wait—inquire about Mila today!

More about this rescue

Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
