Apple Pie’s journey has been one of resilience and longing for stability. Originally adopted from a local shelter last spring, she spent eight months in what she believed was her forever home, only to have her world turned upside down again when her adopter could no longer keep her due to returning to work. Now, she’s with us, and we’re determined to ensure her next home is truly forever—a place where she’ll always feel safe, cherished, and loved.
This gorgeous apricot-colored girl has the biggest soulful brown eyes that seem to speak volumes. Apple Pie is as sweet as her name suggests, with a gentle, affectionate personality that shines through in every wag of her tail and every flop onto her back as she eagerly awaits belly rubs. She’s a people-pleaser who adores attention and does well with other dogs, making her a great addition for any household.
While Apple Pie is a little overweight, she’s making great strides toward a healthier weight with our help—something that will ensure she continues to feel her best and enjoy her golden years. Other than that, she’s doing clinically well and would thrive in a calm, loving environment, especially with adopters experienced in caring for senior dogs.
Apple Pie’s sweet demeanor would make her a wonderful fit for a home with children or anyone seeking a gentle, loving companion. She’s truly an angel who deserves nothing less than the love and stability of a devoted forever family. If you’re ready to give this sweet girl the home she’s been dreaming of, please inquire today!

More about this rescue
Pug Nation Rescue of Los Angeles is a registered 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue, care, and placement of abandoned, neglected, unwanted, displaced, and abused pugs. Our goal is to find every homeless pug a forever home; if we cannot do that, we pledge to provide a comfortable and loving place for sick or unwanted pugs to live out their lives. Our Board of five and numerous volunteers are passionate about Pug Rescue and live by our motto of “One Pug at a Time”. We feel that through our efforts we can change many of these forgotten Pug’s lives. In order to find our Pugs a home as soon as possible, we hold at least three adoption fairs a month and also organize a number of fundraising events, including the annual Pugtacular festival and Legendary Bingo at Hamburger Mary’s in West Hollywood. These events and on-line fundraising have provided the money to help pay for vet treatments, medicine and loving care at our Pug Station. We rely on the generosity of our supporters through donations and participation in our fundraising activities. If you would like to make a donation, find out about the next event, become a volunteer, foster, or adopt your own rescue pug, you are in the right place! You can also follow us on Facebook and twitter, there is always something going on and new pugs needing your help.
