Belle is a sweet and gentle soul looking for a forever family to call home. Here’s what makes her so special:

The Basics:

• House Trained: No accidents here!

• Dog Friendly: She loves the company of other dogs.

• Furniture Respectful: Once told off the first time, she respects your boundaries.

• Leash Skills: Walks like a dream.

• Commands Mastered: Sit, down, paw, stay – she’s a smart cookie!

Her Personality:

Belle thrives on routine and might take a couple of days to adjust to a new one, but once settled, she’s an absolute gem. She’s a little timid around men at first but warms up beautifully with patience and treats. For example, at the vet’s, she went from cautious to confidently eating out of his hand and even accepting pets!

Crate Comfort:

Belle experiences some initial anxiety in her crate but responds well to a firm “Belle, no” at bedtime. During the day, if she sees people or other dogs, it might take her a little longer to settle, but with consistency, she adapts. If she could find a furever home with an adopter who is home often, it would be an ideal scenario for her ♥

Bonus Points:

• Amazing in the car – the perfect travel buddy!

• Takes treats so gently it’s almost laughable.

Submit Application

You can find our application at www.mostlymuttz.org.

2.
Home Check

All persons living in the household are required to be present.

3.
Approve Application

You will receive an approval email from our organization within several days of having your home visit completed.

4.
Meet the Pet

You will be able to adopt at this meeting if it is a match.

5.
Pay Fee

Adoption fees vary based on dog. We accept cash, PayPal or Venmo. The contract will also be signed at this time.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Congratulations on your new family member!

The Initial review of your application will occur within 72 hours.

Please contact your vet authorizing them to release information to us.
Also, let your references know we’ll be calling.
****Failure to take these steps may delay the process

Once your references have been contacted, someone will contact you to schedule a home visit.
After your home visit you will receive an email informing you of your approval.

Schedule a meet/adoption. You will be able to finalize your adoption of the dog at this meeting.

Please read your contract thoroughly before the meeting.

You will be required to send an update at 2 weeks, 6 months, and annually. The email addresses for those updates will be at the bottom of the contract.

If it has been determined that training is a requirement for the dog you’re adopting this will be noted on the contract. You will be required to submit verification of training completion.

Payment by cash is due at the time of adoption. If you choose to use PayPal, payment should be made prior to the meeting/adoption. You will need to forward the electronic email you receive from PayPal, to mostlymuttz@gmail.com to confirm your payment before the meeting/adoption.

Adoption Fees:

Altered puppies (8 weeks - 1 year old): $525

Unaltered puppies (8 weeks - 1 year old): $450 (A $100 sterilization deposit is required in addition to fee. This is refunded upon verification of altering.)

Adults (1yo-7yo): $375

Seniors (7+ years old): $250

Adult dogs who have been with us for over 6 months: $188

More about this rescue

We believe that every dog, regardless of health, deserves at least a fighting chance to live, to love and to be loved for the entirety of their life. At Mostly Muttz Rescue, we often choose to save dogs suffering from curable illnesses within the shelter system rather than rescuing dogs that will be easy to place.
