Dog's Name: Spirit (SPI1224JNSMD)
Estimated Breed: Hound / Mountain Cur MIX
Approximate Age: 1 year
Approximate Weight: 40 lbs
Currently Living at: Boarding
Adoption Fee: $400
DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Hi there, I am Spirit and I'd love to give you a big hug! I am a young, sweet and quite handsome fella who only wants to share his love and loyalty with a forever family who will love me in return. I am a big, strong and friendly guy with the most loving disposition. I am definitely a puller on leash and could use some training in that area, but I absolutely love people and other dogs. Right now, I am a bit underweight and I will likely fill out to be 50 or even 60 pounds of pure, furry love! I'm from rural Tennessee and I was a favorite at the shelter there. My friendly nature will win you over and if you have a doggie companion, that's great - I'd love to be a second dog in the household! Will you give me a chance to have a better life? Submit an application today and let Spirit wag his way into your heart!
Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.
Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
Foster Program: Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home. For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org
