My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Put Short Bio here: Sam Yo is a sweet, cuddly, and spunky pup. He loves food and gulps down whatever you give him. He has taken the subway and some good walks around the city and is getting used to things. He's obedient and wants to please you :) He's such a good boy <3 While he's wonderful with people (especially his "person"), we're working on his reactivity to other dogs - and he gets better every day! He would do best in a calm, consistent environment (perhaps someone who works from home).

Personality & Characteristics:  Sweet, cuddly, spunky, curious, and usually non-reactive (unless he sees another dog). Strangers can pet him and he's great with them. He seems to have some separation anxiety and general anxiety but is bright and should calm down once he decompresses and develops confidence.

My foster dog is good with: (Dogs, Kids, Cats) Good w/ kids, reactive to most dogs except Morty (who he arrived with). I think this could change as he decompresses.

My foster dog is: (Crate trained, House trained, Low shed) house trained, sheds, not sure about crate trained

3 Keywords for your pup: Spunky, sweet, cuddly

Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 5

Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: Usually quiet unless he sees another dog or hears a noise in the hallway / knock on the door. I take him to the office and he's great, very quiet.

Walking Manners: Working on them! Also working on passing other dogs without barking at them.

Appetite: Voracious. He's a great eater and eats everything extremely fast. He needs to gain weight so this is okay for now :)

Does the following: (Gets car sick, nervous outside, has separation anxiety, hates the bath, none of the above). He was great when I gave him a bath on his first day and even tried to help me by lifting his paws one at a time. Has some separation anxiety (from foster mom and from his "brother" Morty who he arrived with)

Favorite Things: FOOD! TREATS! CUDDLES!

Commands/Tricks: Sit, Paw, fetch,  probably others but we haven't figured them out yet.

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
