My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Short Bio:
This energetic and friendly pup is always on the go, sniffing around and exploring the world with curiosity. Though he's a little shy around strangers at first, once he warms up, he’s affectionate and loves to snuggle up next to you while you work. He’s playful, sweet, and settles down peacefully in his crate for the night.

Personality & Characteristics:
Energetic, playful, and affectionate. He enjoys exploring his surroundings and sniffing out new adventures. While he may be a bit shy around strangers, he quickly opens up and is friendly and loving once he feels comfortable. He’s doesn't resource guard with his food or with his toys. When he's not exploring, he's content snuggling up next to you.

My foster dog is good with:
Dogs (Hasn't been introduced to kids or cats yet)

My foster dog is:
Crate trained, Working on house training (hasn't peed in the house in several days), Sleeps through the night

3 Keywords for your pup:

Barker? Or Quiet Pup?:
He will ocassionally bark.

Walking Manners:
He tends to pull on the leash during walks, but we’re actively working with him to improve his leash manners.

Appetite:
He has a great appetite and enjoys all kinds of treats, with no particular food preference. He’s a good eater and always happy to try something new!

Does the following:
He’s pretty good outside and did well on the one car ride he’s been on. He does have some separation anxiety but is improving with time and patience.

Favorite Things:
He loves sniffing around and exploring new areas. He’s also a big fan of squeaky toys and snuggling up next to you for cozy cuddle sessions.

Commands/Tricks:
We’re working on teaching him to "sit," but he doesn’t know any other commands just yet. He's eager to learn, though!

ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at  WaldosRescue.org  and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog.  We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.

Waldos Rescue Pen is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill shelters throughout the United States
