Personality & Characteristics: Incredibly loving and playful pup. Adrian loves to jump and run around with toys to play! He loves a rubber or rope toy, but recently was introduced to a stuffed toy and has fallen in love. After his burst of energy for playing, he is the perfect pup to snuggle up with on the sofa or in bed. He loves to be right next to you while he drifts off to dream.
My foster dog is good with: (Dogs, Kids, Cats): good with other dogs so far. He is very playful and sometimes gets so excited that he doesn't realize his size around smaller dogs, but is starting to understand. Would do well with other playful pups. Unsure about cats and kids.
My foster dog is: (Crate trained, House trained, Low shed): he is house trained. He will wait and sit by the door to show that he may have to go out. He does shed a little bit but on the lower side. He didn't want to use the crate and cried a little bit when trying it out.
3 Keywords for your pup: affectionate, playful, nap-lover
Energy Level (1= calm, 10= high energy): 7 when wanting to play, 3 the rest of the time
Barker? Or Quiet Pup?: a few barks when wanting to play with another dog but otherwise quiet. Will sometimes bark at the recycling trucks. He does like to snore when in very deep sleep :)
Walking Manners: he does well on the leash but still working on not pulling too much.
Appetite: very big appetitie and is treat motivated
Does the following: (Gets car sick, nervous outside, has separation anxiety, hates the bath, none of the above): Was amazing in the car, a little bit unsure at first but quickly settled in and took a nap for a 50 min car ride. No sickness! No difficulties in the bath. Unsure about separation anxiety for more than 5 minutes. When gone for a short period of time he does scratch the door and cries.
Favorite Things: Kong toy with peanut butter, treats, rope toys, stuffed toys and a comfy spot.
Commands/Tricks: knows how to sit so well and is starting to pick up on "come". Still working on "stay" and "down/off". He gets a little excited when seeing someone new and jumps up right now, as well as a bit curious in the kitchen and likes to look up to see.
ALL adoptions require a completed application and final contract. The application can be found at WaldosRescue.org and once you are approved to adopt you will be put in touch with the foster to see if it’s a good match. We are a RESCUE not a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We are unable to contact every applicant for every dog. We will select the best applicant for each dog, based on the dogs needs.
