My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Parker, the adorable "King of the Head Tilt" and master of the sploot, who’s ready to bring his sweet and loving personality into your home! He looks like a big boy, but he’s just shy of about 50 lbs. Rescued with his brother, Bowie, from an alley in October, Parker quickly adapted to his new life and has been an absolute joy to care for. Estimated to have been born in the spring of 2024, Parker is a true lovebug with a heart as big as his head, and he’s excited to choose his forever family.
Parker is the sweetest pittie you’ll ever meet—friendly, affectionate, and always ready to share his love. He’s got that classic Pit Bull patience and an easygoing personality, making him the perfect companion for anyone looking for a loyal, loving dog. He’s happy to join in on any adventure, but just as content to snuggle up and relax with you.
While we don’t have kids in our home, Parker has done wonderfully in the short times he’s spent with children. He has an instinctive, gentle nature that will likely makes him great with younger people. He gets along well with both big and medium-sized dogs, reading their cues pretty well. He loves his crate, where he happily spends time when not with you, and he’s housebroken and well on his way to being the best-behaved pup he can be. Oh, and did I mention he’ll happily pee in the rain like a champ?
With his medium energy level, Parker is the perfect balance of playful and laid-back. He’s always ready for fun, but also loves chilling out with you. He’d thrive in a home with at least one other dog, especially his brother Bowie, as they are a bonded pair and truly shine together. But if you have other dogs, Parker is also ready for new adventures with them!
Parker is microchipped, neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on all his shots and heartworm preventative—basically, he’s ready to be your best friend!
If you’re looking for a snuggle bug with a heart full of love, Parker is ready to meet you and show you what it’s like to have a pittie in your life! He’s waiting to find the perfect forever home, whether it’s with his brother or in a new adventure with a new doggy sibling.

Parker is participating in The Love Pit's iRehome program, so ongoing care and custody are provided by their foster. All behavior and medical information is provided by their caretaker, and TLP encourages all adopters to verify the information with their caretaker prior to adoption.

Additional adoption info

Adopting from The Love Pit means gaining a family member. It means gaining a network of pit bull advocates, ready to support you and provide you with all of the resources we can. Most importantly, adopting from The Love Pit saves lives. When you adopt, you're saving the life of your own dog, opening space in their foster home for another shelter dog in need, and creating space in the shelter kennel for a dog whose life would have otherwise been on the line. Your thanks for all the good you've done? Lots of love and pit bull kisses to enjoy for years to come.

Go meet their pets

We have monthly adoption events at different locations in Dallas and Fort Worth which are announced on our social media pages and will also be posted on our website.

We will also set up an appointment with you to meet the dog of your choosing.
