What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Meet Bowie! A 5 year old German Shepherd/Husky mix from the Escondido Humane Society.
Bowie loves to cuddle and watch TV. He is an indoor dog in our home. He is microchipped, vaccinated, neutered, and house trained. He knows sit, down, come, shake, and stay (most of the time) commands. Bowie comes with his 2 beds, food, treats, toys, and bowls!
Bowie currently resides in Escondido, but needs to be rehomed for safety. My roommates dog and Bowie have been fighting and Bowie has gotten hurt as a result. Bowie has never bit or hurt my roommates dog. When we got Bowie, he was listed as okay with other animals, but we do not know how he will be around other animals after living with a more aggressive dog. Therefore, we recommend he goes to a home with no other pets if possible.
When his owners leave, Bowie will bark for about 10 minutes before settling down. Bowie would do great in a home where his owners can be home with him often or give him a comfy space to stay while they are away!
