My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sketch is a absolute gem of a kitten. He can be a bit skittish at first, but when he comes out of his shell he loves human attention. Because of his timid side, he would do best in a home that is patient and can help him slowly acclimatize as he gets used to a new home and environment. He is watchful and playful, a small fiery ball of fluff with a big personality. Sketch is a purring cuddler, who after a lot of rambunctious play will snuggle and purr himself to sleep in your arms. Because of his young age he is still super playful, he loves toys and to batting hands. Sketch would love a home with another cat friend, and easily bonds with other cats and adores play mates. He is extremely entertaining, with a mischievous side, always trying to sneak treats and monkey around.

This endlessly charming little boy is looking for his furrever home. If he sounds like a good match for you please fill out his application at Salt Spring Island SPCA.

The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:
