It’s hard to believe the shape that Zeke was in considering he is such a good boy. Dubbed “Mr. Wonderful” by volunteers, Zeke calmly accepts every touch whether it is to provide affection or administer medical intervention. His past is quite murky. Rumors of being abandoned in.a basement. Story of a Good Samaritan who found him as a stray and asked the shelter to take him. Whatever it was that left Zeke in the state he is in — bony, bald and bleeding — he is on the road to recovery now. With a head reminiscent of a Neapolitan Mastiff and the body of a Weimaraner, we lean on the iPhone to come up with some breed. With more weight on his disproportionate frame, he will look a little more identifiable, but it will still be a guess. Unflappable, good-natured and easy to walk, Zeke’s blood work results came back good. He would be a great companion for someone who would like to help nurse him back to good health and take him on long, easy walks.

How To Adopt An Angel

You've fallen in love with one of our Angels and you'd like to take him or her home with you. This is what you must do:
1.) Email Sandy at sandraschiller3008@gmail.com and make an appointment to visit our facility and visit with our Angels. You are welcome to bring your dog to meet your potential new family member, as long they are kept on a leash.
2.) Complete an adoption application and agreement at our office. Fees: Adult dogs are $175. Puppies are $200. All dogs are microchipped.
3.) Angel Ridge Animal Rescue will review your application and check references.
4.) In some cases, such as the adoption of a special needs animal, we may require a home check before adoption, or we may want to visit the home after the adoption.
5.) Once you have completed the adoption procedure, you may take your special new family member home. You may also contact us if you need our help.

Visiting hours are Saturday & Sunday, 12:00 to 3:00
M-F 3-5:00, but please make an appointment so we know you are coming!
