Thor is a sweet three-year-old boy loves people and wants to be as close to you as he can. He enjoys daily walks and walks well on a leash most of the time. He rarely pulls but when he does, he is easily corrected. It is usually when he sees a squirrel. One of his favorite things to do is sit in front of a window and look out at the world around him. And he loves car rides, too. He acts nervous around other dogs at first, but he warms up quickly. His foster brother can play pretty rough, which Thor puts up with patiently and then just lets him know when he has had enough. Thor plays well with other dogs and enjoys running around the backyard. He would love to have a doggie brother or sister in his new home. Thor loves that his foster mom works from home. He will do best in a home where his owners are not gone for long periods of time. And no crates, please. He does not like them and will not go in them. He needs to be in a home that will not crate him. He sleeps through the night on his dog bed next to his foster mom’s bed. He doesn’t try to get up on the bed unless his foster mom calls him up. Kids? Thor loves them! Especially kids who give him lots of pets and love. Thor is very trustworthy in the house and is houses trained. He knows basic commands like sit and lay down and we are working on stay. He wants to be right by your side so stay is a little hard for him right now. He gets very excited when people enter the home but he calms down very quickly. Thor was an owner surrender who was taken in by a concerned family who nursed him back to health. He is about good as dogs come and just wants to show you how much he loves you. Thor is neutered and up to date on all vaccines. He is being fostered in Charlotte NC. If interested in Thor you can email us at info@greatdanefriends.com for an application
*****Great Dane Friends of Ruff Love covers NC and surrounding states for adoptions. We require a fenced yard (exceptions made on a case by case basis - NO exceptions for puppies or deaf/vision impaired dogs - no invisible fencing), that stairs in the home be covered with some sort of slip resistant material to prevent injury, that all other animals in the home be up to date on vaccinations as well as spayed/neutered and that all dogs live inside as a part of the family. Our approval process consists of an application, vet and reference checks, phone interview and house check. Please email us for an application or if you have any questions.*****
