COTTON NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Come meet Cotton and other great adoptable dogs this Sunday (01/05/25) from 12-3 pm at the PetSmart in Alexandria, VA (3351 Richmond Highway, Alexandria, VA 22305)!

Name: Cotton Best Guess for Breed: Lab/retriever mix

Best Guess for Age: 7 months as of December 2024 SEX: male

Approximate Weight: 72 lbs as of 12/9/24; he is still growing

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We haven’t seen him with kids or cats but we can always test.

Currently Living at: South Carolina SHELTER. He needs a foster or forever home!

Cotton is Looking For: Cotton and his siblings Doodlebug, Pecan, and Jellybean enjoyed growing up together but now they're ready to get their own homes!

Cotton is a handsome boy looking for a loving home to call his own. He is looking for you to be his buddy through walks, playtime, and cozy cuddle sessions. Cotton is excited to learn and explore. Most of all, he’s looking for a warm, comfy bed and all the love a pup deserves.

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
