Are you willing to give a shy young girl a chance at love? Iandamp;#39;m Anya, and my name means andamp;quot;favored by Godandamp;quot; when translated from Greek. Iandamp;#39;m beautiful, all 17 pounds of me. They think Iandamp;#39;m a Manchester Terrier mix, and Iandamp;#39;m just two years old. I havenandamp;#39;t been at the shelter long, but it is scary here a lot of the time. Especially for me. But Iandamp;#39;m working on it. I need to get comfortable and trust the people around me before I think I will be able to lean in to my soft and loving side.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Staff has found that I do really well in playgroups with the other pups. I am super friendly, playful and outgoing around the others when we have a chance to commingle and enjoy each otherandamp;#39;s company. I am certainly curious about all things shelter related, but I find that while I want to investigate, I am nervous and anxious with new things so that holds me back.andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Every day my goal is to get a little bit more relaxed and a little bit more social. I would sure love it if you would come to meet me and give me a chance to show off what a good girl I am. Come anytime because Iandamp;#39;ll be waiting!andlt;br/andgt;andlt;br/andgt;Love, Anyaandlt;br/andgt;

Please note that we operate by first come, first serve along with adoption approval. Wait times may vary depending on the time of week and day.
We are reserving Mondays and Tuesdays for appointments for members of the public who are immunocompromised or are still uncomfortable being in large crowds due to COVID-19.
If you have any questions about our adoptable pets, please call (913) 831-7722 or email adoptions@greatplainsspca.org. Our expert matchmakers look forward to finding you the perfect furry family member!
Adoption Requirements:
- Adopter must be 18 years of age or older.
- Adopters must complete a survey and present photo identification to meet any of our animals.
- For the safety and health of our animals, we do not ship pets.
- Pet adoption fees range from $60 to $350. Our adoption fees help to offset the cost of evaluation, housing, feeding and medical care for the thousands of animals needing our help. We do our best to keep our adoption prices reasonable while generating income to support our goal of caring for animals available for adoption until we can place them in a loving home. The adoption fee for each animal varies and is dependent on many factors including: age, size, behavior, medical condition, and public demand.
