Born approximately April 6, 2018, Sneferu is a 12-pound chihuahua mix seeking a forever home. When he came to us he was afraid of everyone and everything. While he has come a long way, he will need a patient loving heart before he gives his to you. Once he does though, he will love you back with every fiber of his soul. He is crate trained, but it's not his favorite place and he would prefer to sleep by your side. He is the perfect gentleman when given the run of the house. He is leash trained and potty trained. He would do fine with condo/apartment life. He gets along well with dogs of all sizes. Cats are an unknown. His ideal home is one with a playful companion or as an only dog. Either one suits him fine as long as there are plenty of belly rubs, treats, and little plushies for playing fetch! If there are kids in the home, preference is those over the age of 5. Additional adoption info

We require an adoption application to be filled out which includes personal references. An in-Home check by a Mikey's Chance volunteer is also performed prior to adoption. Our dogs come to the adopter "ready-to-go" with current Vet health checks, all shots and vaccinations current and the animal spayed or neutered, as well as micro-chipped.

Our adoption process can take 2-4 weeks to process as we are run completely by volunteers, all of whom work full time jobs.

We depend on a network of volunteers and fosters for the care of our dogs. The dogs are fostered primarily in Tri-Cities, WA. We often have Meet 7 Greet events at Petsmart and Paws Natural Pet Emporium LLC both in Kennewick.

"Mikey's Chance" is a dog rescue organization organized under Washington State articles of Incorporation as a Non-profit Charity. We focus mainly on saving dogs that are at risk or on “Death Row” in shelters in our area, and placing them to great families. We work with individual adopters, private rescuers, and rescue organizations that share our values. All our dogs are up to date on shots, sterilized, and microchipped prior to adoption, and they are all carefully evaluated to ensure the best possible match with adopters.
