Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Howdy Doody Northeastern people, I’m an adorable little male Chihuahua named MoJo. I’m 2 years old, weigh only 5 lbs and I come with a funky little walk from my right back leg. The vet took X-rays but everything looks normal, so it’s probably just the “pep” in my step, LOL! I was a stray dog in Lytle Texas, picked up by animal control then quickly turned over to 4 Little Paws Rescue where I have been hanging out in a foster home.
I’m not one of these crazy hyper Chihuahuas you hear about, I’m more of a chill dude, just making my way, watching the world go by, biding my time until my perfect human match comes along and sweeps me off my itty-bitty feet. Here’s the low-down on my personality… I’m good with people but shy at first. I’m friendly with other dogs and enjoy playing and wrestling with my similar-sized doggy friends. I enjoy some dog toys but am not obsessed with any in particular. I enjoy being carried and am patiently waiting for some one-on-one love and attention from my perfect human. I think barking is silly so I rarely do it. I’m well-behaved in a home and potty trained because I’m not interested in being labeled a bad boy. I don't freak out if I’m left home alone and I don't guard any of my stuff. If you want my food or my toys, you can have them. I’m A-OK in a crate. I don't mind walking on a leash or taking a ride in the car. I get to sleep anywhere I want and that's usually in a dog bed. I’m easy. I’m cute. I’m pocket-sized and easy to travel with. I’m looking for a forever home and I hear the Eastern Seaboard is way better than Texas. Inquire about me today and bring me home!
* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
