My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Jackie (A136790) is a 10-month-old Pitbull x Lab mix who weighed 63.8 pounds on intake!

12/06/24 This shy but sweet girl is Jackie! Jackie arrived at the shelter as a stray. Her finder stated that she had been running at large for some time in Delta Junction, but they finally caught her. No owner came forward during her stray hold, so she is officially looking for her new home! Jackie has been proven to be a runner, so it is very important to make sure she is properly restrained when outdoors—on a leash, secure tie-out, or supervised in a fenced-in yard. We encourage her next owner to work with a certified trainer to help build her confidence and to learn a trick or two! Jackie can be skittish on a leash, but she is learning! We do not know her history with children or other animals, so please ensure you make appropriate introductions to any and all new friends. Jackie has seemed indifferent towards her doggy neighbors while at the shelter. We can definitely see the sweet side of Jackie shining through, and we are hopeful that in the right home, she will truly blossom! If you are interested in meeting Jackie, please let us know!
