Meet Poppy, a gentle and loving soul with the most captivating eyes. Rescued from the streets, Poppy has blossomed in her foster home, learning what it means to feel safe and loved. Though she started life scared and uncertain, she’s now a sweet and snuggly pup who adores the company of other dogs and is just starting to discover the joy of toys.

Poppy has the cutest quirks—she loves gentle play nibbling and makes the goofiest noises when she wants to play. She’s also a quiet girl who doesn’t bark and is comfortable being kenneled. Her shy nature means she’ll need a patient and understanding family to help her build confidence and learn new skills.

If you’re looking for a special companion who needs your heart as much as you need hers, Poppy is waiting to meet you. With love and care, she’ll blossom into the most loyal and loving member of your family!

More about this rescue

Arizona Small Dog Rescue is a non profit registered 501(c)3 no kill rescue shelter. We are a group of volunteers who have dedicated our lives to rescuing and saving homeless, unwanted, abandoned, neglected, and abused small dogs. We save most of our animals from kill shelters around the valley, but also accept owner surrenders and stray surrenders. Owner surrender fee’s vary depending on space and availability. We spay/neuter, vaccinate, medically examine, microchip, and evaluate and/or socialize all dogs that come into our rescue before placing up for adoption to pre-screened homes. We rescue many dogs every week and always have a wide variety of personalities and breeds available who would be a perfect fit for any family and any home.
