My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**Available after January 2nd, 2025**
Meet Maggie - a brave and gentle girl who loves to play but can also be quiet and independent when the occasion calls for it. Maggie is a friendly girl who loves to be around people and receive lots of affection and pats. She's a dignified dog who knows what she wants and isn't afraid to go for it. Under her composed exterior, she has a goofy side that will surely make you laugh. Maggie has been through a lot and we suspect was a mommy more than once. She would do best in a quiet home where she can feel safe and comfortable as she blossoms. She doesn't pay attention to other dogs and prefers to be the solo dog. If you're looking for a funny, furry friend who will stick by your side through thick and thin, contact us about Maggie today!

More about this shelter

Want to adopt a pet and give them a forever home? We're thrilled! Our pro-adoption shelter places 200 to 300 dogs and small animals every year with families and homes that best meet the needs of the animals.

We have dogs of all ages, from newborn puppies to senior dogs. While puppies are popular, older dogs can be great pets, too. They are smart and grateful companions that won't leave you with puppy puddles or chewed-up slippers. Why not enrich your life and that of an older dog?

We also adopt out small animals including rabbits, hamsters, birds, rats, guinea pigs, and sometimes reptiles.
