My name is Humvee!

Hi there, I'm Humvee, a female black-and-white short-haired beauty born around May 13th, 2017. I admit, I am carrying a lot of extra weight right now, but I'm on a slow and steady journey to slim down and feel better thanks to Wild Blue's help. My size limits my mobility, so I walk at my own slow and steady pace, and I prefer to keep my personal space when it comes to other cats. If they get too close, I may give a little hiss or swat--it's just my way of setting boundaries with them since I can't move away quickly. Despite my size, I'm a total sweetheart with people, especially when it comes to petting and brushing! I thoroughly enjoy being brushed or pet around my head, neck, and shoulders, and I'm quick to purr. Caressing is one of my favorite things, but my back end and hips can be sensitive due to some skin issues and pain, so I need gentle care in those areas. Because of this, I'm taking some important meds to help keep me comfortable and mobile, and while I'm not a fan of taking pills directly, I've learned that hiding them in a tiny bit of wet food works like a charm! I'm getting the care I need to improve my health and the encouragement to keep moving, and I'm looking for a loving adopter who can continue to support me on this journey. Though I've lived with other cats before, I'm ready to be the center of attention in a calm, quiet home where I can be your one and only pet. I'm truly a lovebug with people, and I'm looking for my person that can give me the special care I deserve--especially when it comes to grooming and taking my meds.
