Murphy was rescued along with his sister from a rural farm area along the Fla/Alabama border. His mother was a small Catahoula and his father an Australian Shepard. He is loving and goofy and will mature at 50-55 lbs. He was rescued on Oct 22, the day he turned 7 weeks old. Although he is a beautiful puppy he is not for everyone. His breeds reflect herding dogs that also guard livestock. He needs to be a dog with a job, whether that be working on a farm watching over livestock, to a horse farm, to an active jogger and hiker to someone who participated in agility trials or dock diving. We will not adopt him to a family where he sits in a crate all day and is so bored he starts nipping the children to “ herd” them. He is being fostered by the rescue’s owner in Thurmont, Md. if interested in knowing more please email Precious. Petz@yahoo.com or text 845-671-0345 for further info. His adoption includes his vaccines, microchip, new harness, collar and leash,his transport north and his neuter when age appropriate for a large boned dog.

Fill out an adoption application complete with veterinarian listed, vet reference and home visit is done,references and if a rental, landlord is called. Adopter meets rescue to see if it’s a fit and a meet and greet with other pets. Adopter fills out a contract.
