My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello everyone, my name is Piper, I just turned one-year-old in May. I was diagnosed with hyperplastic and juvenile ulcerative gingivostomatitis. This is a disease that typically affects older cats and normally is resolved with a full mouth extraction. There was hope that once my adult teeth came in things would improve but they did not. I had all my teeth removed more than a month ago and have been recovering in a loving foster home. I can be a bit shy, and love to play with string toys, and to sit and look out the window. I am up to date on my shots, spayed, microchipped and fully litter box trained. Please complete an online Cat Adoption application at www.allistonhumane.com or call my Foster Mom at 705-435-7312 to come and meet me.

More about this rescue

The ADHS attempts to provide shelter for stray and unwanted animals with priority given to abused and neglected animals. The ADHS provides a lost and found reporting service, humane education, and a full range of shelter and foster care and adoption services for cats, dogs, and small animals. Dedicated volunteers make all of these services possible. ADHS has NO PAID employees. The ADHS strives for a 100% adoption rate, with a NO KILL policy for all animals deemed adoptable. Those animals deemed 'unadoptable' by a veterinarian due to illness, severe injuries or of unsuitable or dangerous temperament are humanely euthanized.
