A little bit about Rollz: - children unknown, older recommended due to fearfulness with strangers - cats / small animals unknown, limited history on time spent living with cats - dogs unknown, potential for select other dog pending successful dog-to-dog - potential for separation stress
If you`re looking for a big, sweet boy to call your own, look no further than Rollz! He`s a giant, affectionate boy who will kindly ask for more pets with a gentle head bump to your hand (he also thinks he`s a lap dog!). However, Rollz has `stranger danger`, and takes time to warm up to new people. This means that his new family should be willing to go extra slow with him and work at a pace more comfortable for him. With this in mind, the best home for Rollz would be without young children who may not be able to properly interpret his body language cues and when he needs some space. When excited, Rollz has been known to jump and may need some help brushing up on proper doggy manners. He`s aware of his size, too, and isn`t afraid to lay in your lap to ensure that you can give him good scritches. His new family should be prepared to handle him as Rollz is a strong boy! If you love gaining the trust of a shy animal and need a four-legged marshmallow in your life, then Rollz just may be the dog for you!

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.
Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.
Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.
Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.
Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.
Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
