My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Get set to be obsessed with gorgeous Gunnar, a 1-year-old, 45 lb house and crate trained Chocolate Lab mix, who's a true heart-stealer! He's a playful and happy pup who's so eager to please, loves meeting new people, is great with kids and other dogs, and enjoys outdoor adventures as much as cozy naps. Gunnar is a car ride champ, stays calm during baths, adjusts quickly to new environments, and knows many commands (“here,” “settle,” “leave it,” “sit,” and “stay”). He also has an adorable habit of tidying up his toys after playtime. While he may occasionally sneak a peek at food on the counter, his charm and good behavior make him an absolute joy. Gunnar is ready to bring love and fun to his forever home! He is microchipped, vaccinated, and being neutered by the rescue upon vet clearance. His adoption fee is $600.

More about this rescue

Ollie's Angels Animal Rescue is a rescue organization dedicated to saving the lives of abused and neglected dogs across the country. Ollie's Angels does not determine whether a life is worth saving based on age, special needs, or physical condition. In our eyes, every animal deserves a second chance at life.

We believe that every dog, as well as every adopter, has a unique tale to tell. Our mission is to consider both the needs of our animals and their humans to find the best possible match for each life we save. Adopting a dog is a very emotional experience, and we are committed to treating all of our adopters with respect and kindness throughout the adoption process.

Our special foster program gives us the chance to get to know each dog on a personal level. This helps us to select the perfect home for each individual dog based on his/her needs and personality. Each and every animal we save is adopted into a safe and loving forever home where he/she will be a cherished member of the family. Prior to being placed in a new home, all of our animals receive the highest quality medical care, as well as being spayed/neutered, microchipped, and updated on vaccinations.
