My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

12/11/24. Meet REX, an 8-year-old gentleman Dobie who is truly a special soul. He was discovered after wandering into a garage during a thunderstorm, emaciated and appearing as though he had been shot with pellets. Despite his mistreatment by humans, this loving dober boy craves human affection. Although he can be a little shy with men initially, he quickly warms up with some patience. He is calm, gentle, great with children, and enjoys the company of other dogs and cats, making him a lucky find for any adopting family.

Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). These dogs will always be supported by DRL. We welcome financial support for these dogs. Here are links to foster and adoption applications for those dogs who need a foster home or adoptive home.
