My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

*** Adoption Special - $50 OFF adoption fee sponsored by Good Charlie ***

Hello! I'm Holly Noelle, a lovely 10-year-old lady with a calm and gentle spirit. While I may have a few more years under my paws, my heart is as young as ever. I used to be quite the playful kitten, and though I've settled into a more serene phase, I still find joy in the simple pleasures of life. I absolutely adore being petted—there's nothing quite like a soft hand running through my fur. I especially enjoy finding the perfect windowsill spot to soak up the sun and watch the birds as they flit by; their little antics truly bring a smile to my face! Recently, I made my way to a foster home after my first family chose not to take me back. It's been quite an adventure, and now I'm ready to find my forever family. I'm in great health and feel as vibrant and active as ever thanks to some recent check-ups. I might take a little time to warm up, especially around other cats, as I tend to be a bit shy. I confess I hissed at a couple of my foster siblings and wasn't too thrilled about posing for pictures. However, once someone helps me onto their lap, I can relax and truly enjoy the moment—I've even started to doze off! If you're looking for a sweet companion to share quiet moments with—whether it's lounging in a sunny spot or enjoying a gentle stroke while we relax together—I'm your girl. I can't wait to meet you!

Thanks to Good Charlie sponsoring Holly Noelle, you can adopt her for only $50!

More about this rescue

Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs) is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. FRAs was founded in 2004 by 4 volunteers who wanted to support the Rowlett Animal Shelter. Our organization has grown to over 300 volunteers, and with this growth, we now support two municipal shelters -- Rowlett, TX and Garland, TX – and operate our own cat rescue program.

Our mission is to provide resources, programs and education to promote adoption and care of homeless pets in our community. FRAs’ vision is a world where every companion animal has a safe and loving forever home. We are a 100% all volunteer run organization, and our ability to help homeless animals depends on donations from the community and grant funding.

Our organizational programs include operating the volunteer program for both shelters, providing funding for heartworm treatments and emergency medical care, accepting cats from the shelter and citizens into our foster-based cat rescue, supporting TNR/SNR efforts for community cats and most recently funding dog transport initiatives. Our volunteers spend thousands of hours socializing and marketing the animals for adoption, which increases the number of animals with a positive outcome. FRAs has helped countless pets avoid euthanasia, find their forever homes and live longer, healthier lives.
