Floyd is one of the #dogsindanger at Habersham County Animal Shelter.
Floyd is 4-5 years old, 35 pounds and has been fixed. We have not yet heartworm tested him because he hates needles and manifests a demon when anyone tries to restrain him.
He also has a part time gig with David Cooperfield and can escape any muzzle by the time the curtain rises.
For the last 3 months we’ve watch people inquire about him due to his perfect size and unique looks- but then meet him and go running for the hills
Floyd was called in as a stray. He was were told Floyd had “just shown up” and they had “no clue where he came from”.
Floyd had a collar and tags. The collar and tags belonged to family of his “finder”. But nobody had seen him ever before
Of course the phone number was disconnected.
Searching names brought us to an address of where a camper used to be.
Floyd is kind of a cactus. A bit prickly. But I like him. We have an understanding.
Floyd would make a great dog for someone who isn’t really a cuddly person.
He likes walks and enjoys respectful older children.
He gets a little frisky pounce every now and then.
He CAN play with other doggies if they’re submissive - and I think going forward we can make more friends. He does better with one on one dog interactions than playgroup - but he wants his space. I get it.
Floyd doesn’t like being loved on much- UNLESS its belly rubs that he asks for.
