This sweet, 60-pound bundle of love is ready to find his perfect forever home. Chicken Little is a friendly and affectionate boy with the most adorable squishy face you’ve ever seen. While he’s hearing impaired — meaning no noise will wake him when he’s snoozing (you’ll need to gently touch him) — it doesn’t slow him down one bit. If your neighbors are close by, find comfort in knowing you won't have a dog who'll bark at every sound they hear! He loves exploring new places and getting booty rubs!
Chicken Little was briefly adopted but had to be returned because the other dog in the home didn’t get along with him. It’s important to note that Chicken Little was *not* the aggressor—he’s a peaceful pup who just wants love and harmony. He adored all the people in his previous home, including children, and even got along with cats. While curious about them, he didn’t chase, making him a great candidate for a home with feline friends.
This snuggly boy thrives on affection and would love to cuddle up with his new family at the end of a day filled with adventures. If you’re searching for a loyal, loving companion with a big heart and an even bigger capacity for snuggles, Chicken Little is the one for you.

More about this rescue
We opened in December 2019 as a dog cafe. 3 months later we had to shut down due to Covid. We resumed operations in December 2020 but are solely doing adoptions. We hope to reopen the cafe sometime in the future. Our CEO has 3 dogs that she adopted from a shelter. Her experience at a high-kill shelter inspired her to start a halfway home for dogs while searching for their forever home. Our dogs spend a considerable amount of time playing with one another, thanks to proper introduction and close supervision during playtime. We only take in a small number of dogs to ensure each one gets plenty of one-on-one time with us. This also allows us to work with more fearful/shy/reactive dogs and adopt them out once they’re ready.
