Smokey was originally my Grandmother's cat who came to live with us in September 2023 when my grandmother passed away. She is 8 years old and for the first 7 years of her life lived with elderly people (my grandparents) and one other cat. She is vaccinated and spayed. She is a fully indoor cat currently, but has all her claws.
When she came to live with us she was introduced to living with kids and dogs! She is a very affectionate cat who loves attention and petting. She would do best in a home whose humans are home more than we are and who sit still long enough to pet her more often than we do. She isn't a big fan of dogs, but she tolerates them, just doesn't get too close to them or let them get too close to her. She loves attention from our kids, but hasn't fully adjusted to their unpredictable, rapid body movements, so she'd do best with older children or no children. Finally, we learned our son is allergic to cats. Thus, we would like to find a new loving home for her.
