My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Tripp is a 4 year old Chihuahua mix that was surrounded due to the owner going into assisted living and not being able to keep him. Tripp is very sweet and good with dogs, cats, and kids and doing well with housetraining. He is kenneled when away, but I believe would be fine with a kennel as well. He is lap protective and is learning he needs to share the space with the other dogs. He seems more reactive to females than males when on a lap. He just wants all the love!

More about this rescue

Passion for Pets Rescue (PPR) is a non-profit (501c3), insured and state licensed rescue, run by volunteers. We are a small group of like minded folks with big hearts. PPR does not have an actual shelter, all of our dogs are either in foster homes in Maine or with our Southern partners in Mississippi.

PPR covers all medical expenses. The majority of the dogs we rescue require immediate veterinary care. Skin infections and internal parasites are common occurrences. We pay for all spay & neuter surgeries. PPR makes sure all dogs are given age appropriate vaccinations, as well as, preventative medication for Heartworm and external parasites.
