My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bob is the most handsome dude! A male orange tabby looking for his forever home. He was adopted at just 8 weeks by a nice family and grew up with two little boys who loved and roughhoused with him but sadly they need to rehome him as they have a baby on the way. He is well-adjusted to humans and very curious about other cats. He enjoys head scratches, LOVEs catnip and feather wand toys, and loves to chat. If you have seen the I go Meow video from Nala on Instagram, Bobs voice is just like that but more boyish. He is very curious, social with humans, and loves to explore. He is adjusting to his foster home quickly but will need someone who respects his speed to get adjusted. Bob, being a male kitten that grew up as a single kitten, could benefit from another friendly cat to help him learn the ropes and get out some of that kitten energy. Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
