Bolt is an absolute pleasure to have around! He’s a confident, well-socialized pup who loves being with people but is also excellent at relaxing in his crate on his own. He takes direction well, is eager to please, and adapts quickly to new routines. He picks up commands easily and responds well to a firm but fair approach.
This smart and playful boy loves food, so mealtime is one of his favorite parts of the day. He happily eats in his crate, never turning down a treat, and enjoys a nightly dental stick before settling in for the night. Speaking of sleep—Bolt is a dream! He sleeps soundly in his crate with no whining or early morning wake-ups, often snuggling into his blankets to create the perfect cozy nest. His crate is truly his safe space, and he’s perfectly content napping there when needed. Bonus: he's never soiled his crate!
Bolt is fully house trained! He reliably goes outside and will head to the back door when he needs to go. Outside, he’s curious and playful, enjoying sniffing, exploring, and playing with other dogs. He’s great on a leash, though he may show some interest in squirrels—but who can blame him? He’s fantastic in the car, hops in and out without issue, and enjoys tagging along for adventures.
Bolt’s love for people and dogs shines through in everything he does. He adores playing with his toys, whether with his humans, his dog friends, or even by himself. Unlike some pups, he’s not destructive—he mostly just enjoys carrying his toys around. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, and well-mannered dog who will bring joy to your home, Bolt is ready to be your new best friend!

More about this rescue
We opened in December 2019 as a dog cafe. 3 months later we had to shut down due to Covid. We resumed operations in December 2020 but are solely doing adoptions. We hope to reopen the cafe sometime in the future. Our CEO has 3 dogs that she adopted from a shelter. Her experience at a high-kill shelter inspired her to start a halfway home for dogs while searching for their forever home. Our dogs spend a considerable amount of time playing with one another, thanks to proper introduction and close supervision during playtime. We only take in a small number of dogs to ensure each one gets plenty of one-on-one time with us. This also allows us to work with more fearful/shy/reactive dogs and adopt them out once they’re ready.
