My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

To meet Bonnie, please submit an application at www.thehausofdogs.com/adopt .

Bonnie is a sweet girl who was picked up as a stray in Texas and surrendered to a shelter, but she’s ready to leave her past behind and find a loving forever home. Bonnie is a gentle soul with a submissive nature, making her a wonderful companion for people and other dogs alike. She’s a bit unsure about cats and tends to shy away from them, so a cat-free home might work for her.

Bonnie is a medium-energy pup who enjoys outdoor adventures and indoor cuddles. She adores running around with other dogs but what Bonnie loves most is attention from her human friends. Whether it’s lazing on the couch or a quiet moment together in the yard, she’s happiest when she feels loved and included.

If you’re searching for a loyal, playful, and affectionate companion, Bonnie is ready to meet you!

More about this rescue

We opened in December 2019 as a dog cafe. 3 months later we had to shut down due to Covid. We resumed operations in December 2020 but are solely doing adoptions. We hope to reopen the cafe sometime in the future. Our CEO has 3 dogs that she adopted from a shelter. Her experience at a high-kill shelter inspired her to start a halfway home for dogs while searching for their forever home. Our dogs spend a considerable amount of time playing with one another, thanks to proper introduction and close supervision during playtime. We only take in a small number of dogs to ensure each one gets plenty of one-on-one time with us. This also allows us to work with more fearful/shy/reactive dogs and adopt them out once they’re ready.
