Hey there, everyone! I’m Patrick, a sweet, friendly, affectionate, and loving bicolor fella who loves long hugs, being held, and snuggling with Foster Meowmy. “Bicolor” means that I’m mostly white with gray tabby on my head, back, and tail. I’m quite a lover boy who likes to kiss Foster Meowmy. I guess it’s not very romantic for her to be licked with my sandpaper tongue, but that’s the best way for me to shower her with affection.
She’s also a great interactive playmate – I love, love, love it when she throws tiny paper wads for me to fetch. She’s also training me to walk on a leash so that I can accompany her more places. (I’m quite the adventurer!) I’ve already learned to jump directly into her arms for hugs, so she thinks that I’m an ideal candidate for someone who wants to train their cat to perform tricks.
My sister Lulu and I were abandoned in a box that was left outside of a pet store. When the employees arrived and found us, they started offering us to customers. You know how dangerous it can be to say “free kittens,” but fortunately we didn’t end up in medical testing lab but in the arms of our Foster Meowmy.
Lulu and I look like twins except I have cute moustache markings on my face that look like I haven't used a napkin to wipe my face. I’ve got an appetite like a teenage boy with a hollow leg, and Lulu likes to eat very slowly and ladylike. So of course I come over and gobble up her food. We tumble and pounce, climb and wrestle, and when we're exhausted, we collapse in a kitten puddle.
Now I’m ready to find my forever home. If you’re looking for a fella who’s one-third lap cat, one-third lover boy, and one-third adventurer, I’m the little boy for you! Although we’re available separately, Lulu and I think it'd be the cat’s meow if we could be adopted together. We could be playmates and cuddle buddies while you’re off at work or on vacation. You may fill it out online or print a copy of the application and complete it prior to arriving at an adoption session. Our mission is to end the homelessness of cats and dogs through foster to adoption, feral cat Trap-Neuter-Return, and education.
HOMELESS & ORPHANED PETS ENDEAVOR (HOPE) is an all-foster, no kill adoption group based in the Houston area.
HOPE covers the cost of general medical expenses for the animals in the program, such as altering, routine vaccinations and treatment for parasites. Our foster families are asked to provide food, shelter and love to the animals for which they care. They receive no payment for the services that they provide. Without them, and the other volunteers who so selflessly do what is necessary to keep HOPE afloat, it would not be possible to run this nonprofit corporation.
One aim of HOPE is to develop a network of area rescue and humane organizations which will facilitate the rescue and placement of a variety of animals. The goal is to never have to turn away an animal in need. By forming a coalition of humane and rescue groups in the Houston area, we could potentially place all animals who need a temporary home until they are placed into a permanent one.
