MEET DARLA:

Darla is a sweet 4 year old English Bulldog.  Darla previously lived outdoors and is now adjusting to indoor life. She has a very good concept of house training and crate training, making her a well-mannered addition to a furever home.

Darla is a friendly and affectionate companion who adores interacting with people. However due to her strength and size means she won't be the best fit for households with young chilldren. For her safety and to keep her happy and healthy, a securely fenced-in yard is a must. Darla is not suited for apartments or mobile homes.

Darla will require to be the only dog in the home and does not get along with cats. She gets very vocal and worked up when seeing another dog or cat.

Darla s a brachycephalic breed, meaning she has a short snout, so experience with this type of dog is very important as she is sensitive to extreme heat and cold. She is not a good fit for a first-time dog owner as Bulldogs are extremely stubborn. She’s also not a good fit for a tether system, as she thrives on interaction and companionship.

OUR FOSTER ANIMALS ARE LIVING IN FOSTER HOMES AND TREATED LIKE FAMILY UNTIL THEY FIND THEIR OWN FUREVER FAMILIES. OUR ADOPTION PROECESS REQUIRES AN APPLICATION TO BE COMPLETED AND APPROVED BEFORE A MEET-N-GREET WITH THE ANIMAL CAN TAKE PLACE. ADOPTION FEES ARE NECESSARY TO HELP US COVER VETTING COSTS FOR OUR RESCUED ANIMALS. OUR PRIMARY ADOPTION AREA IS WITHIN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN.
