Meet Scooby – Your Big, Lovable Snugglebug!

Scooby is a 9-month-old Labrador mix with a touch of Rhodesian Ridgeback charm, bringing together the best of both breeds. At 85 pounds, he’s a big boy with an even bigger heart. Despite his size, Scooby’s favorite thing to do is cuddle—he’s a total lovebug who just wants to be your best friend for life.

This sweet pup is neutered, up to date on all his vaccinations, and wonderfully well-mannered. He’s friendly with dogs, cats, and even livestock, though chickens still have him a bit confused after a few pecking incidents! His curious but gentle nature makes him a great addition to any loving home.

Scooby’s loyal Labrador side shines through in his eagerness to bond, while his Ridgeback heritage gives him a calm confidence and striking good looks. If you’re looking for a gentle, snuggly companion who’s ready to be your forever buddy, Scooby is the perfect match.

More about this rescue

Our mission is to save the lives of dogs facing euthanasia in high-kill shelters nationwide by pledging funds that enable rescues to take in, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need. On occasion, if we do not have a local rescue in place in the city the dogs are in, we bring them to Illinois to avoid their euthanasia. They are placed in boarding for vetting, once done, they are promoted for fostering or adoption.
