Brooklyn is a sweetheart with a gentle, affectionate nature and a light touch. This little girl loves her cuddles and tummy rubs, especially when she’s feeling tired. She’s content playing solo with her beloved stuffed animals or running and romping with her siblings and the other dogs in her home. Whether she’s playing or napping, Brooklyn is a happy girl who enjoys both the indoors and the outdoors. Soaking up the sun or curling up for a nap, she’s just as content in any setting. She’s a joy and has the perfect balance of puppy energy and chill moments.

With her wonderful temperament, Brooklyn is a great fit for families. She’s been observed with both younger and older kids, and her playful yet gentle nature makes her the perfect companion for kids of all ages. She gets along well with dogs of all sizes. She’s used to large dogs but she has no problem playing with pups of any size. While she’s a bit cautious around other dogs on leash, she’s friendly and doesn’t react negatively. As for cats, she’s seen them passing by her yard and has never shown any interest in chasing them. She’s also been around cats at the vet, keeping her distance and staying calm.

Brooklyn is treat-motivated and learns quickly. She’s already mastered “sit” and is eager to pick up new commands with some consistent training and treats - fresh fruits and veggies are her jam! Watermelon is her absolute favorite, but she also enjoys apples, cucumbers, and green beans. Her joyful personality and quick learning make her a delight to train. She’s well-mannered in her crate and she knows to go outside right after being let out. Brooklyn is still working on leash skills, but she loves her walks, sniffing every new scent with conviction. A little patience and practice, and some produce, and she’ll be a pro in no time.
.
Brooklyn will make an incredible addition to any home, bringing joy, love, and a bit of light-heartedness to one very fortunate family. If you’re looking for a sweet, playful, and affectionate pup who’s ready to learn and love, Brooklyn is your gal!

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
