Meet our very special boy, Crosby. Crosby has had quite the life! He was saved in September by our friends at Animal Rescue Corps, from a cruelty/hoarding case in Florida, which included over 135 dogs in one dilapidated house, being let to breed and breed while the owner attempted to sell them on Craigslist. Crosby was found missing half of his right testicle and half of his right leg. We will never know what happened to him, but we do know that he will know only kindness from now on! Our medical team here at HP decided that amputating the rest of this leg would be the best for him. He came in very shy and shut down, but we are excited to say that while he recovered in foster care, he blossomed! His foster mom reported that he is a quiet guy, finds comfort in his crate, loves stuffed toys and ropes, and would do great with a doggy buddy. He enjoys walks though isn`t a huge fan of the cold weather, but he is a huge fan of treats! While he did open up with being in foster care for over three weeks, he is still learning what it`s like to fully trust humans. He needs a special, quiet home that will show him lots of patience and give him room to grow! Call Helping Paws to meet this sweet boy!!
