My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

**KOA IS SCHEDULED FOR AN AMPUTATION ON 12/17/2024!**

Koa is a super social, adventurous little guy. In an incident prior to being surrendered to rescue, Koa lost a large portion of his front right limb. Speculation is that he either got caught in something or his mom bit it off. Either way, this little guy isn't negatively impacted at ALL. Don't tell him he only has three legs... because he doesn't care and he doesn't notice.

Koa is currently being fostered in a home with two small dogs and one large pit bull mix. He is totally fearless and regularly tries to engage with his furry-foster siblings, even if they're not always interested in playing, LOL! Koa is such a fun little puppy with a personality that just bursts with love and happiness!

Additional adoption info

Our rigorous adoption process ensures we are selecting the right home for each individual dog and his/her unique personality. This includes an application, home check, veterinary reference check, personal reference checks (only in certain situations), landlord checks (for rentals), phone interview with candidate, and meet and greet with our dog. From there we sign paperwork, pay the fee and send the dog home. We follow up frequently during the first few weeks, but are always a resource to our adopters.
