Meet the fun-loving Biscuit IV! He is a nine-year-old, 11-pound American Shorthair, who wears a cute âÂÂTuxedoâ so heâÂÂs always photo-ready! Biscuit is a happy, playful cat who I adopted as a kitten from a North Dallas vet's office in September 2015. He is healthy, neutered, microchipped, and fully up-to-date on vaccinations.
Biscuit is curious, clever, and full of energy! He likes to play with his toys and play âÂÂcatchâ and âÂÂchaseâ and gets the âÂÂzoomiesâ all the time. Biscuit loves positive praise and receiving pets and head scratches and responds with a sweet little purr. He likes having his fur brushed too as a nice massage and bonding time. Biscuit is a âÂÂfitness buffâ who loves helping me practice yoga and loves it when I toss a leaf of baby spinach for him to play with and nibble on!
Biscuit hasnâÂÂt been around many other animals or small children but is very loving and affectionate with our family. Biscuit is my little buddy who follows me around the house, and loves to cuddle on the sofa in the evenings for movie night!
Biscuit has always been an indoor apartment cat, but I think he might also enjoy some outdoor time in a safe, confined space if that is an option. HeâÂÂs very curious and likes to sniff around, and is a good boy and will come when you call him. He's only been around one adult male cat (for about a month), and they didn't get along, but he's generally pretty easy going so may get along with a kitten. I'm not sure how he would react around young children or dogs - he might have fun with them, but he startles easily (like most cats) and doesn't love to be picked up so IâÂÂm not sure.
He still scratches the sofa occasionally when he is jumping up but has mostly outgrown any âÂÂbadâ scratching not on his favorite scratcher pad. Biscuit has a sensitive stomach, so I feed him Purina Pro Plan Sensitive Skin & Stomach (wet & dry) which costs a little more but lasts a long time. He also loves his dental treats at night to keep those pearly whites looking good ðÂÂÂ
I need to rehome my sweet Biscuit because my situation has changed and I'm frequently traveling back and forth out of state to care for an aging parent. Biscuit loves his 'people' and gets very sad when left alone for very long and it breaks my heart, but I need to help care for my mother in Phoenix so I'm making the difficult choice to rehome him. This silly, adorable cat will be a fun and loving companion in the right home. Apply to meet him today!
