She’s a sweet girl who enjoys the simpler things in life—whether it’s a relaxing walk, lounging by your side, or spending time with her friends. Huntress is an excellent listener and walks gracefully on a leash, making her a dream companion.

But don’t let her mellow personality fool you—this cuddle champion is always up for snuggling on the couch after a long day. Huntress is looking for a family who will love her as much as she’ll love them. There may be a dog or child meet also required, depending on the animal. There may be some animals that must meet all members of the home.

This will ensure that both the adopter and animal have their needs met.

Additional adoption info

The adoption process may take anywhere from 45 minutes to two hours. This is to ensure both you and your new family member are all set to go. We do stop all visits and adoptions at 5:30.

Longmont Humane Society is a 501(c)3 private, non-profit organization dedicated to the welfare of animals with a mission of caring, serving and educating to improve the lives of companion animals.

We provide temporary shelter to thousands of animals every year. Dogs, cats and small mammals that are lost, surrendered or abandoned will receive loving attention, nutritious food, meticulous health care and daily exercise during their stay at our facility.

We are a Socially Conscious™ shelter with a strong commitment to best practices in animal welfare. We serve the City of Longmont, the towns of Firestone, Lyons, Dacono, and Mead as well as greater Boulder County.
