My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello! Meet Marshall the Bassador Puppy! This little guy is ready to become the best friend and loving companion to some lucky family.

Marshall is a perfect mix of lab and Bassett hound with a cute little lab face and stumpy little Bassett legs. Do you want an apartment sized lab? Have you always wanted a Bassett hound with a little get-up-and-go? If so, Marshall is the little guy you've been looking for.

His name is Marshall but he could easily be called "Marshmallow" because he is so sweet. Cuddles galore! He is also a puppy that likes to run outside and chew on toys. No inappropriate chewing has been observed, but we always make sure he has something to focus on. He likes to stay busy during the day but sleeps soundly all night. He is housebroken and has had no potty accidents so far. The crate is not scary to him and he will often take a couple of toys in there to relax and catch a puppy snooze.

Marshall is currently living happily with two other dogs and two cats. Marshall is interested in the cats but shows zero aggression towards them. He just wants to play! Cat drama was kept to a minimum because we have off-limit areas of the house for our dogs that give our cats a break and allow for slow introductions on their terms. One cat refuses to hide from any dog and there have been several face-to-face meetings that resulted in nothing more than a stare down.

Marshall loves playing with his foster siblings and was eager to learn the rules of the house by following the lead of the older dogs. He loves being a part of the pack. I think he would be a good addition to a house with other dogs. He can walk on a leash but prefers to get his exercise running around the yard and playing with other dogs.

Marshall is a good boy and we have loved having him as a part of our pack
