Meet Buddy, a 11-year-old handsome boy with a heart full of love and a bit of a grumpy side. Buddy is the perfect companion for someone who can give him the attention and affection he craves. He loves following you around the house and is happiest when snuggling on your lap or cuddling up with you in bed for a nap.
While Buddy may be a bit of a senior, he's full of personality! He has separation anxiety and can get anxious when left alone, often howling or barking. He feels safest in his kennel while you're away and needs a little help with his behavior-like not getting into the trash or hopping on counters. He's a bit of a food beggar, too, and loves to try his luck for a bite of people food.
Buddy gets along with some dogs and cats, but he's a little slow to warm up, especially to big dogs-he prefers smaller, gentle companions. He may act aggressive when scared. He loves children and has never bitten or snaped at anyone. His time on the streets of California left him wary of certain things, like loud noises, water hoses, and sudden movements, so he'll need a home that is calm and understanding. He's also not fond of water but behaves well during bath time.
Buddy is smart and knows several commands, including "sit, "stay, "give paw, "go lay down, and "go to your room. He enjoys car rides and short walks, but he tires easily, so his ideal outings are low-key. Buddy's nails need regular trimming, every two weeks, and he's a well-behaved guest at the groomer.
Buddy is looking for a quiet, loving home where he can be your one and only, basking in the cuddles and care he deserves. Could you be the one to give him the peaceful life he craves?

More about this rescue
Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.
Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.
Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.
Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
