Sanchez is full of energy and excitement! He comes out of his kennel with a wagging tail, eager to explore. Though he can be a bit cautious around new people and situations, he’s quick to warm up with some patience. Once outside, Sanchez is all about zoomies, parkour jumps, and playful antics with toys. He’s a wild child who loves to run and jump - and when he’s not busy racing around, he loves to snuggle up for some affection and attention.
Sanchez is a sweet, affectionate boy who just needs the right home to help him shine. He’s ready to show his new family what a good boy he can be with a little time and love.
Eligible for rescue, foster, and adoption. Meet Sanchez at ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or email foster@acctphilly.org to express interest in fostering him.

12/11/24 staff noted: Got Sanchez out to see how he's doing! He was excited to come out of kennel, hopping up on the door panting with soft eyes and a wagging tail. He got down when I opened the door and was patient for leashing. His hackles came up as he walked, and he was a little suspicious of a person walking behind us, turning around and watching them with a stiff body. I was able to get him to keep moving and he never escalated. Int he room Sanchez was full of energy and was very playful! He rana round the room doing zoomies and mouthing at toys. He parkour jumped off of me a couple times! He's a wild child! When he wasn't racing around the room he was in my lap, soliciting attention and soaking up some love. Sanchez allowed all handling and was quite affectionate. When it was time to return to kennel he gave me no issues and climbed right in! Overall, Sanchez is nervous with new people and is pretty stressed here in the shelter, but he's trying his best to let the best parts of him shine through and show us what a good boy he is!
12/10/24 staff noted Per ACA Sanchez did great outside of his kennel for check in! He was very wiggly and affectionate. muzzled as a precaution, but was not reactive at all
12/10/24 staff behavior evaluation:
KENNEL PRESENTATION:
In kennel Sanchez was laying down and when the handler called to him he stood up with wide dilated eyes. He was lip licking the whole time for leashing and was very nervous. He gave some low wags at the leash and allowed for easy lassoing with the leash. Once secured he did not want to exit the kennel and needed lots of coaxing and motivation.
LEASH SKILLS:
Pulls minimally, very nervous on leash
HANDLING:
In the room Sanchez was nervous and walked around sniffing at first with wide eyes, a low tail, and was lip licking. He was nervous but approached all handlers and while he was next to me I did a butt scratch and he immediately warmed up a lot! He began to solicit from me and jump in my lap, seeking out attention. He allowed all over handling from me including letting me check his teeth too. It did take him some time to warm up to the other handlers in the room but with time and baby talk he did and allowed all over handling from us without issue. No interest in treats.
PLAY:
Engaged in play, very cute zoomies
TOYS:
Released willingly
12/10/14 staff noted: in kennel, very tense and lip licking with very wide dilated eyes
12/9/24 staff noted: upon arrival dog was very nervous and tense.
