Meet Hardys! This sweet little guy was brought to Delaware Pet Rescue when his owner passed away. He is about 8 months old and is very sweet! He saw our vet and got a clean bill of health as well as a nail trim- he was very cooperative! Hardys has a smooth slick coat of shorter hair. He had a loving home before where he was well cared for, and he's hoping to find another loving home. He'd probably love to have a guinea pig friend! He enjoys sitting on your lap. Guinea pigs have wonderful personalities- they are gentle and we have yet to come across any who bite, and they keep a daytime schedule! They form close bonds with their people, similar to cats and dogs. Did you know they are able to recognize people based on scent, sound and sight?! These sweet animals make wonderful pets!

We care for these pets in our foster homes until proper and stable homes are found through a multi-step adoption process. Our ultimate goal is to match families with our pets so that they live out their lives in loving, educated, safe homes for the remainder of their lives. Our additional goals in rescue are to educate the public in the importance of spaying/neutering and exposing the truth behind pet store puppys and the horrors of puppy mills.
