My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet WILLOW – A Loving & Loyal Shepherd Looking for a Special Home!

WILLOW is a brilliant 6-year-7-month-old Shepherd with a heart as big as her intelligence. She found herself in an overcrowded rural shelter after the 4th of July influx, undoubtedly confused and scared. But despite her rough past, WILLOW has remained a gentle, affectionate girl who’s ready to find a home where she can truly thrive.

Why WILLOW is So Special:
✔ Super Smart – She knows multiple commands and is eager to please.
✔ Gentle & Well-Mannered – She doesn’t jump on people and takes treats with the softest mouth.
✔ Leash & Crate Trained – She walks beautifully on a leash and settles well in a crate.
✔ Loves to Entertain Herself – Give her a chewy, and she’s happy to relax on her own.
✔ Great in Public – She has shown calm, composed behavior while walking through stores.

WILLOW’s Social Side
She does best with mellow, chill dogs and benefits from proper introductions to new canine friends.
She has no food guarding issues and is gentle with people of all ages.
Special Care Needs
WILLOW has been diagnosed with perianal fistulas, a condition that requires consistent medical management and a compassionate caregiver. She will need a foster or adopter who can provide regular care and medication to keep her comfortable and happy.

The Next Chapter for WILLOW
We are looking for a loving foster or adopter who can offer WILLOW a stable, caring home where she can continue to shine. She’s an amazing, loyal companion who just needs the right person to give her a chance.

Are you the one who can give this incredible girl the love and care she deserves? Apply to foster or adopt WILLOW today! Located in Jerome, Idaho. www.friendsfureveranimalrescue.com

Additional adoption info

We require a foster or adoption application to qualify to foster or adopt our animals. We do check your current veterinary reference and landlord approval if renting. The next step is a "meet and greet" with all family members and/or household occupants, and current pets. Upon approval, we offer a "trial adoption" period that allows adopter to make sure of a good fit for both the dog and family. Adoption is final when adoption contract (different from application) is filled out and signed, and adoption fee is paid. Our adoption fees range from $75 - $300 (puppies) currently, but are subject to revision if our veterinary costs rise.
