My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Annie is a sweet, loving 1-year-old mixed breed with a heart full of affection to give. She may be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she'll shower you with endless love and loyalty. Annie is a gentle soul who enjoys cuddles, quiet walks, and spending time with her favorite humans.

Annie is currently heartworm positive, but don't let that discourage you. She is undergoing treatment and will be ready for her forever home soon. With the proper care and love, Annie will recover fully and live a long, healthy life. She is already showing her resilient spirit, and we know she'll thrive in a family who's patient and committed to her journey.

She's looking for a calm, loving family who can provide her with the attention she needs during her treatment and beyond.

If you're looking for a sweet, loving, and courageous companion to join your family, Annie would be so grateful to have a second chance at happiness with you!

If you choose to adopt me, the clinic staff will be with you every step of the way, answering questions and offering support.

The process from detection to the final treatment is generally three months and involves some simple at-home steps to keep me safe while I recover. The last step in the process is a follow-up test six months after my treatment begins.

The Heartworm treatment process is highly successful and the staff anticipates that I will fully recover! Yeah! And you should know that Heartworm can only be transmitted from animal to animal by mosquitoes.

Stop in and meet my cute self in person during our adoption hours. For more information, email info@ahconnects.org or call us at 847-697-2880 x: 0, and the staff will be happy to help you.

I hope to meet you soon!

Our dogs and puppies go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested (6 months and over), and up to date on core vaccines, heartworm, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians
