Fred is a Havanese/Chihuahua mix who looks just like a mini Golden Retriever! He is 8 months old, cute as can be, and still learning all about the world that is now his to explore. Randy is a year old, and also a Havanese/Chihuahua mix. They spent the first part of their lives in a backyard with the other dogs in the home. New people can make them a little nervous and barky, but we know in a patient home they would thrive and be able to work through their shyness. These boys love to play, and learned how to walk on leash very quickly! They have a lot to learn, and in exchange a lot of love to give!
These sweet boys will need a patient home, but we know they will flourish with time. Both Randy and Fred getting belly rubs, and will nuzzle your hand and give kisses when they wants pets. Under all the nervousness these boys have such a sweet demeanor.
The shelter has tried to adopt them out separately, but have not been successful in getting either one to the point that they are comfortable enough to go without one another. They are bonded, and end up helping one another get comfortable and warm up to new people.
We know taking in two shy dogs will be a lot of work, but they need to remain together, and we are happy to keep them safe and healthy until someone falls in love with them BOTH. If you have experience in adopting shy dogs, you know just how rewarding it is to see them blossom once they feel safe. Randy and Fred have so much love to give, and are sure to bring so much joy with their adorable smiles and personalities.
